HMO model
In one sentence
You commit to first visiting a contracted group practice, usually in a city.
What it changes for you
It is often the cheapest model, because the practice coordinates the entire pathway. Its limit is geographic: outside urban areas there simply is no HMO centre within a reasonable distance. Check the centre’s address before choosing — a CHF 40 monthly discount does not offset a forty-minute trip to every appointment.
