How we make money
A comparator that does not say who pays for it asks for trust it has not earned. Here is the full answer, including the uncomfortable part.
The comparator earns nothing
Looking at premiums costs nothing and earns nothing. No account to create, no e-mail address to leave, no wall after three searches. The 217,472 premiums shown come from the FOPH’s open files, not from a commercial agreement with an insurer.
The ranking cannot be bought
Premiums are ranked by ascending price, full stop. No insurer can pay to move up, because the order is computed from the official figures the moment you load the page. That is checkable: the FOPH rates are public, and our methodology describes every query.
We are paid when you request guidance
If, after seeing the prices, you ask to be guided, your request goes to a partner broker registered with FINMA. If they conclude a contract for you, they pay us a commission. That is our only source of revenue, and it never intervenes before you have seen the prices.
What that commission implies — and what it does not
It implies an interest in your filling in the form: which is why the form appears only after the results, never before. It implies no interest in you choosing one insurer over another in basic insurance, since benefits there are identical by law and the ranking is arithmetic.
What we do not have
No customer reviews, because we have not received any yet and will not invent them. No «best insurer» ranking, because service quality is published nowhere and we will not guess it. No rates in branches where no public register exists — we explain what moves the price, and we say why no figure is shown.
If you find a wrong premium on this site, write to us: we correct it and we say what changed. That is the normal counterpart of publishing figures.
